AN ACT

TO AMEND THE BUSINESS LICENSING ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji-

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Business Licensing (Amendment) Act, 1997.

Interpretation

2. In this Act, "Principal Act" means the Business Licensing Act.

Section "16A" inserted

3. The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 16 a new section namely-

"Occasional Licence

16A (1) A person may apply to the licensing authority for an occasional licence to engage in a designated business for a period not exceeding 30 days.

(2) The provisions of this Act shall apply to an occasional licence subject to necessary modifications to give effect to this section.

(3)An occasional licence may be issued subject to conditions as the licensing authority thinks fit to impose."
