Commerce (Control of Prices for Cement Products) Order 2009

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Commerce Act Cap. 50 of 1998 and after considering a recommendation from the Commerce Commission and after being satisfied that this declaration is necessary in the interest of consumers and users for the prices of cement products to be controlled in accordance with this Act and that these services will be supplied in a market in which competition is limited, I make this Order -

Citation and Commencement

1.. This Order is cited as the Commerce (Control of Prices for Cement Products) Order 2009 and commences on the 23rd August 2009.

Definition

2. For the purpose of this Order the market definition is "the sales and purchase of cement in Fiji".

Control of prices, for supply of cement products

3. For the purposes of Section 32 of the Act, the process for the supply of Cement Products in all quantities, qualities, grades and classes in Fiji are controlled.

Expiration of Order

4. This Order expires on the 21st of June 2012 unless this Order is varied, extended or earlier revoked.

Made this 1st day of October 2009.
