EXTENSION OF THE PUBLIC EMERGENCY REGULATIONS 2009
WHEREAS the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 were made pursuant to the Public Safety Act on 10th day of April 2009 and came into force for a period of 30 days at 1200 hours on that day; and
WHEREAS the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 were thereafter extended pursuant to the Public Safety Act for further periods of 30 days on the 9th day of May, the 8th day of June, the 8th day of July, 7th day of August and 6th day of September 2009.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Epeli Nailatikau, Vice-President of the Republic of Fiji, in exercise of the powers vested in me by virtue of the Office of the Vice-President and Succession Decree 2009, hereby extend the Public Emergency Regulations 2009 for a further period of 30 days with effect from 1200 hours on the 5th day of October 2009.
