(CHAPTER 13)

THE HIGH COURT RULES, 1988
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 25 of the Supreme Court Act, I hereby make the following Rules:-
Short title and commencement
1. These Rules may be cited as the High Court Rules, 1988 and shall come into force on the 31st day of March 1988.
Practice and procedure in High Court
2. The practice and procedure relating to civil proceedings in the High Court shall be governed by the Rules described in the Schedule hereunder.
Transitional provision
3. Pending causes and matters in the High Court shall be conducted in accordance with these Rules so far as conveniently may be, subject to any directions given by the Court or a Judge in any particular case.
Revocation of Supreme Court Rules, 1968
4. The Supreme Court Rules, 1968 and all subsequent amendments made thereto shall be revoked as from the 30th day of March 1988.

SCHEDULE
The Rules of the High Court shall comprise those rules of court published and bound in book form under the general title: "The High Court Rules, 1988".
