THE COUNCIL OF STATE, PERFORMING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTION THE FUNCTIONS OF TE BERETITENTI

AN ACT TO AUTHORISE SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION
OF MONIES OUT OF THE CONSOLIDATED FUND FOR
RECURRENT EXPENDITURE FOR THE YEAR
ENDED 31 DECEMBER 1994

Commencement:

1994

MADE by the Maneaba ni Maungatabu and assented by the Council of State.

Short title

1. The Act may be cited as the Supplementary Appropriation (No. 1) Act 1994.
   

Authorisation of issue of $1,008,856.00 from the Consolidated Fund.

2. The issue from the Consolidated Fund is hereby authorised of a sum of $1,008,856.00 to be applied for recurrent expenditure for the year ended December, 1994.
   

Appropriation

3. The sum specified in Section 2 shall be appropriated for the supply of recurrent expenditure specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this Act respectively specified in relation thereto in column 2 of the schedule.

SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION (NO.1) ACT 1994

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

1. This Act charges upon the Consolidated Fund a sum, which is required for recurrent expenditure for the year ending 31 December, 1994 in addition to the amount appropriated for the year by the Appropriation Act 1993.
   
2. The sums required is to provide for money to be expended in addition to those already appropriated.
   
3. The Act provides that the additional amount charged shall be expended upon the service listed in the schedule to the Act.
   
4. The Act presented to the Maneaba ni Maungatabu in accordance with the requirements of the section 109(3) of the Constitution.
