AN ACT TO AMEND THE SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES OF MEMBERS OF THE MANEABA NI MAUNGATABU AND SALARIES TRIBUNAL (CAP.92A)

Commencement:
1995

MADE by the Maneaba ni Maungatabu and assented to by the Beretitenti.

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Maneaba ni Maungatabu and Salaries Tribunal (Amendment) Act 1995.

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 1995.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The second column of the Schedule (which relates to the Salary) as amend is further amended as follows -

(a) by repealing the figures "11,801" occurring in the second column (Salary) (which relates to office of Beretitenti (First Column) and substituting the figures "13,689"; and

(b) by repealing the figures "11,121" occurring in second column (Salary) (which relates to the office of the Kauoman ni Beretitenti (First Column) and substituting the figures "12,900"; and

(c) by repealing the figures "10,441" occurring in the second column (Salary) which relates to the office of Ministers (First Column) and substituting the figures "12,112"; and

(d) by repealing the figures "7,041" occurring in the second column (Salary) which relates to the office of Members of the Maneaba ni Maungatabu and substituting the figures "9,153".

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

1. The principal object of this Act Beretitenti, the Kauoman ni Beretitenti, Members of the Maneaba ni Maungatabu an increase of salary as follows:-

This is achieved by amending the Schedule as set out in Section 2 of the Act.
