(Section 12)

CITIZENSHIP (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 12 of the Citizenship Act (Cap. 8A) I hereby crake the following Regulations -

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Citizenship (Amendment) Regulations 1991.

Amends Regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the principal Regulations is hereby amended -

(a) in sub-regulation (1) by repealing the words "Atoll Pioneer" and substituting the words "any newspaper published or circulated in Kiribati"; and

(b) in sub-regulation (2) by repealing the words "sub-regulation (1) and substituting the words "sub-regulation (1) and Regulation 5"

Amends Regulation 5 of principal Regulations

3. Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended by -

(a) re-numbering "5(1)" as "5"

(b) repealing the words "the Gazette" in Regulation 5(1) as re-numbered and substituting the words "any newspaper published or circulated in Kiribati"; and

(c) repealing the whole of sub-regulation (2)
