EDUCATION ORDINANCE, 1976
(No. 9 of 1976)

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 29 (1) of the Education Ordinance, 1976, I hereby make the following Order -

1. This Order may be cited as the Compulsory Education Order, 1980.

2. The parent of every child who is 1 years of age on 1 January 1981, and the parent of every child who is 6 years of age on 1 January, 1981 or who attains the age of 6 years before 1 May, 1981, shall secure the regular education of such child at a registered non-Government or Government School or by such other means as I may approve.

3. The Compulsory Education Order, 1979, is hereby revoked.
