An Act to adopt the Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988 as the law of the Marshall Islands and to provide for the continuing revision thereof and for matters connected therewith.

§201. Short title.
This Chapter may be cited as the "Marshall Islands Revised Code Act 1988". [P.L. 1988-29, §1.]
§202. Adoption of the Revised Code.
(1) The Revised Code of the Marshall Islands presented to the Nitijela by the Vice-Speaker as Sessional Paper 1 is hereby adopted as the existing written law of the Marshall Islands and shall have the force of law from the date of enactment of this Chapter.
(2) The Revised Code shall be known as the "Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988". [P.L. 1988-29, §2.]
§203. Repeal of all other laws.
(1) All laws of the Nitijela and the Congress of the Marshall Islands and the Trust Territory Code(1980 Edition), as applicable to the Marshall Islands, enacted and existing prior to December 31, 1988, are hereby repealed to the extent such laws conflict with the Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988.
(2) The repeal of any law by the adoption of the Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988 shall not affect any right or interest accrued under that law before such repeal or any remedy where a suit is pending under such law.
(3) The adoption of the Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988 shall not repeal any law enacted by the Nitijela after December 31, 1988. [P.L. 1988-29, §3.]
§204. Continuing revision.
The Legislative Counsel shall prepare and publish, as and when necessary, a supplement to the Marshall Islands Revised Code 1988, reflecting legislation enacted after this Code and other necessary changes that have to be made to the Code. The supplement shall be prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Revision of the Laws Act 1981. [P.L. 1988-29, §4.]
§205. Correction of errors and inclusion of legislative history and incorporation of laws.
(1) The Legislative Counsel may, prior to publication correct any errors in this Revised Code by:
(a) supplying the omissions and making of deletions;
(b) rectifying any clerical or typographical errors; and
(c) the inclusion of any legislative history where omitted.
(2) The Legislative Counsel shall incorporate and codify all laws passed by the Nitijela during the Second Part of the 1988 Session, into the Marshall Islands Revised Code l988. [P.L. 1988-29, §5.]
