AN ACT TO AMEND THE GAMING AND LOTTERIES ACT, CAP. 139

ENACTED by the National Parliament of Solomon Islands

1. This Act may be cited as the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2006.

Amendment of section 6 of Cap. 139

2. Subsection (8) of section 6 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act is hereby amended by deleting same and replacing it with the following -

"(8) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (1) and (3), the Minister may on the recommendation of the Board, may by order published in the Gazette, grant holders of commercial gaming permits such further period as may be necessary to comply with requirements of subsection (1)."
