1994-95 DEVELOPMENT FUND APPROPRIATION ACT 1994

AN ACT
TO APPROPRIATE MONEYS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT FUND TO THE SERVICE OF THE GOVERNMENT

[1st June, 1994.]

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as The 1994-95 Development Fund Appropriation Act 1994 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1994.

2. There shall be issued from the Development Fund of the Kingdom and applied to the service of the year ending on the 30th June, 1995 any sum or sums of Twenty nine million, three hundred and sixty two thousand, seven hundred and fifty three pa'anga for defraying the charges of the Government of Tonga for such period. Such amount shall be appropriated to the purposes in the Schedule of this Act.

3. The Treasurer shall issue and pay such sum or sums of money for the purposes expressed in the Schedule not exceeding in the whole the sums respectively in that behalf as the Prime Minister shall by warrant under his hand direct.

4. The moneys granted by this Act are intended for the services in respect of which moneys will become payable within the financial year ending on the 30th June, 1995 and any balance thereof unissued at the end of the month of June, 1995 shall lapse and not be available for making payment in any subsequent month.
