PASSPORT (AMENDMENT) ACT 1998

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PASSPORT ACT

I assent,

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Passport (Amendment) Act 1998.

(2) The Passport Act (Cap. 61), as amended, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the following words from the first sentence thereof:

"a finger print identification"

3. Section 10 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the following words from the second sentence thereof:

"contain a finger print identification of the person to whom it relates and"

4. Form I of the Schedule I of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Finger Print".

Passed in the Legislative Assembly this 21st day of July, 1998.
