RETIREMENT FUND BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT 1999

AN ACT
TO AMEND THE RETIREMENT FUND BOARD ACT 1998

[1st July, 1999].

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Retirement Fund Board (Amendment) Act 1999.

(2) The Retirement Fund Board Act 1998 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
2. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing subsection thereof and substituted therefor the following new subsection (3):

"4. (3) The Member representatives are two Members who are appointed following election by the Members, or alternates to such two representatives."

3. Section 4 of the Principal Act is further amended by adding the following proviso at the end of paragraph (a) of subsection (6):

"PROVIDED that the three Employer representatives shall establish and publish the initial procedures for appointing and removing Member representatives before the first election to be held under this Act."

Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 1st day of July, 1999.

"4. (3) Ko e ongo fakafofonga Memipa ko ha Memipa is 'e toko ua 'oku fokotu'u hili hano fili 'e he kau Memipa, pe ko e memipa fetongi 'o e ongo fakafofonga ko ia."

3. 'Oku to e fakatonutonu foki 'a e Kupu 4 'o e Tefito 'i Lao 'aki hono tanaki atu 'a e polovaisoa ko 'eni hili 'a e palakalafi (a) 'o e kupusi'i (6):
