SUPREME COURT (ALLOWANCES TO JURORS) REGULATIONS 1998

SUPREME COURT ACT (CAP. 10)


IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Supreme Court Act (Cap. 10), His Majesty's Cabinet makes the following regulations:


1. These Regulations may be cited as the Supreme Court (Allowances to Jurors) Regulations 1998.


2. A person called as a juror before the Supreme Court in a criminal or civil case shall be paid-


(i). any travelling expenses reasonably incurred in travelling to and from the court; and


(ii). a maintenance allowance of $28.00 per day or part thereof.


3. The trial judge may in any particular case disallow any allowances payable to a juror under these Regulations.
