IMMIGRATION REGULATIONS1
1 Citation
These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration Regulations.
2 Application for permit to reside
Every person not entitled under section 7 of the Act to enter Tuvalu without a permit, and intending to stay for a period of more than 4 months, shall apply for a permit in Form 1 of the Schedule.
3 Permit to reside2
(1) A permit to enter and reside in Tuvalu shall be in Form 2 of the Schedule, and shall be subject to any conditions specified, including the payment of a fee of $200 in the case of an adult and $100 in the case of a child under the age of 16 years.
(2) A permit to enter and reside may be extended on the payment of a $20 fee.
(3) Every application for a permit to enter and reside shall only be made on payment of a processing fee of $20. Such fee shall not be refundable and is distinct from the fee payable under sub-regulation (1) of this regulation.3
4 Visitors permit
A visitors permit issued in terms of section 9 of the Act shall be in Form 3 of the Schedule, with the addition or deletion of such conditions as the Principal Immigration Officer feels fit subject to Regulation 5.
5 Visitors permit fees4
(1) Where the Principal Immigration Officer in accordance with section 9 of the Act feels fit, and —
- (a) on payment of a $50.00 fee, he may permit a visitor to engage in a specified business; or
- (b) on payment of a $30.00 fee, he may extend a visitor's permit for up to 30 days.
(2) A visitors permit shall be endorsed to indicate any authorization under this Regulation.
6 Minister may remit fees
The Minister may, in his discretion, exempt any person from payment of fees and remit any fees paid.
7 Prohibition on landing
Notification in terms of section 5(1)(d)(iv) of the Act shall be in Form 4 of the Schedule.
8 Arrival Cards
Every person arriving in Tuvalu by air or by sea except the crew of commercial aircraft or commercial vessels shall, in terms of section 5(2) of the Act, complete an Arrival Card in Form 5 of the Schedule.
9 Departure Cards
Every person departing from Tuvalu by air or by sea except the crew of commercial aircraft or commercial vessels shall complete a Departure Card in Form 6 of the Schedule.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO TUVALU
1 Unless you fall into the exempt categories listed in the box or have already obtained a permit from the Immigration Officer, you

2. The Immigration Officer will usually permit entry for a maximum of 30 days without any fee. This permit is for Social, Domestic
