FEMALE CATTLE (PROHIBITION OF SLAUGHTER
Order 3 of 1980[∗]
To provide for the control of the slaughter or spaying of female cattle and matters connected therewith.
1. Prohibition on slaughtering and spaying female cattle of or below age of 7
The slaughter or spaying of female cattle of or below the age of 7 years is prohibited except with a licence issued in accordance
with paragraph 2.
2. Licence to slaughter or spay female cattle of or below age of 7
The Principal Veterinary Officer or any other person authorised by the Minister by publication of his name in the Gazette may issue
a licence to slaughter or spay cattle to which these regulations apply for any of the reasons set out in section 2(1) of the Cattle (Slaughter, Spaying and Castration) Act, Cap. 103.
3. Application for a licence
An application for a licence under these regulations shall be in the form contained in Part 1 of the Schedule and a licence shall be in the form contained in Part 2 of the Schedule.

Application for licence to slaughter or spay female cattle
TO: The Principal Veterinary Officer (or authorised officer)
I (full name) of apply to slaughter or spay (delete whichever is not applicable) (state the number) female cattle aged 7 years or less at present on (name of plantation) because (give one or more reasons set out in section 2 of the Cattle (Slaughter, Spaying or Castration) Act, Cap. 103.)

Licence to slaughter or spay female cattle
In accordance with regulation 2 of the Female Cattle (Prohibition of Slaughter and Spaying) Regulations 1980, (name of licensee) of (residence address or plantation) is hereby authorised to slaughter or have slaughtered or spay (delete whichever is not applicable) (state the number) female cattle of or below the age of 7 years situated at subject to the conditions set out below –

[∗] Editor’s note: There is a different, re-numbered Order 3 of 1980 referred to in the Chronological Table of Statutory Orders. The within Order was presumably Order 3 of 1980 prior to Independence, and was published with this number in the Revised Edition 1988.
