FORM OF PASSPORTS
To provide for the form of passports issued to citizens of Vanuatu.
1. Form of passports
Passports issued in accordance with section 3 of the Passports Act, Cap. 108 shall conform to the model laid down in the Schedule.
SCHEDULE
1. National Coat of Arms together with the words –
"Republic of Vanuatu" and "République de Vanuatu" et
"PASSPORT" "PASSEPORT"
2. Provision shall be made for the name of the passport holder and the passport number.
(b) Inside the front cover of the passport the following shall be printed –

The President of the Republic of Vanuatu requests and requires in the name of the Republic all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer peacefully to pass without let or hindrance and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.
Au nom de la Nation, le Président de la République de Vanuatu prie instamment toutes les autorités compétentes de bien vouloir laisser passer librement le titulaire du présent passeport et de lui offrir assistance et protection le cas échéant.
(c) Inside the back cover and on last page if necessary the following notes shall be printed–

| 1. This Travel Document is the property of the Republic of Vanuatu. 2. Passports should not be sent from one country to another by post unless absolutely necessary. 3. This is a valuable document and should not be altered in any way or allowed to pass into the possession of an unauthorised person. If lost or destroyed, the fact and circumstances should be reported to the nearest Vanuatu Consulate or police station. 4. Children who have reached the age of 16 years required separate travel documents. 5. The renewal of this passport is normally effected by the issuing authorities. If this document has already been renewed, the holder should make sure before leaving the Republic that it will be valid until his return. | Le présent titre demeure la propriéte de la République de Vanuatu. Il ne peut être acheminé d’un pays à un autre par voie postale, sauf en cas de nécessité absolue. Le présent passeport est un document important qui ne doit subir aucune al-tération, de quelque nature que ce soit,
ni se trouver en la possession d’une personne non qualifié pour le détenir. En cas de perte ou de destruction, un rapport circanstancié doit être fait au Consulat vanuatuan ou au Commisariat de
Police le plus proche. Les enfants ayant atteint l’age de seize ans doivent être munis d'un passeport individuel. 5. Le renouvellement d’un passeport est en principe effectué par le Chef du Service des passeports. S’il a déjà
été prorogé, son titulaire doit s’assurer avant son départ pour l’étranger qu’il
possèdé une durée de validité suffisante. La prorogration d’un passeport expiré au cours d’un séjour à l’étranger peut être
demandé soit à un Consulat ou à une Mission agissant pour le compte ou représentant la République
de Vanuatu soit par voie postale en l’adressant au Chef du Service des Passeports. |
