GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT)
ACT NO. 42 OF 2019

An Act to amend the Government Act [CAP 243].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment

The Government Act [CAP 243] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF GOVERNMENT ACT [CAP 243]

1. Part 6A (heading), section 22A (definition of “Committee”), section 22B (heading) and subsection 22B(1)

Delete “National Security Advisory Committee”, substitute “National Sanctioning Committee”

2. Section 22A (definitions of “security” and “seditious intention”)

Repeal the definitions.

3. Paragraph 22D(b)

Delete “; and”, substitute “.”

4. Paragraphs 22D(c),(d),(e),(f),(g),(h) and (i)

Repeal the paragraphs.

5. Section 22F

Delete “section 23D”, substitute “section 22D”
