OF THE FINANCING OF TERRORISM ACT
NO. 3 OF 2002
An Act to provide for the ratification of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-
1 Ratification
(1) The International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in resolution 54/109 of 9 December 1999 a copy of which is set out in the Schedule is ratified.
(2) The Convention is binding on the Republic of Vanuatu in accordance with its terms.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

ACT NO. 3 OF 2002
Explanatory Note
The purpose of this Bill is to ratify the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism. The Convention was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in resolution 54/109 of 9 December 1999.
