NATIONAL BANK OF VANUATU AMENDMENT ACT
NO 13 OF 2001

An act to amend the National Bank of Vanuatu Act No. 46 of 1989

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendments
   

The National Bank of Vanuatu Act No. 46 of 1989 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement
   

This Act commences on the date on which it is published in the Gazette.

AMENDMENTS OF THE NATIONAL BANK OF VANUATU
ACT NO. 46 OF 1989

1. Paragraph 4(3)(b)
   

Repeal the paragraph, substitute

“(b) a person with legal qualifications or experience; and”.

Explanatory Note

The amendments remove the Attorney General as a member of the National Bank of Vanuatu. The Attorney General is replaced by a person with legal qualifications or experience appointed by the Prime Minister.
