AN ACT to amend the Civil Aviation Act 1963.

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Western Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:

1. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT

This Act may be cited as the Civil Aviation amendment Act 1994 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Civil Aviation Act 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.)

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the date the principal Act came into force.

2. REGULATIONS

Section 76 of the principal Act is amended by omitting the section and substituting the following section:-

"76. Regulations - The regulations specified in the Third Schedule to this Act together with any amendments that have been made to such regulations up to the day this Act is passed by the Parliament of Western Samoa shall, as far as they are applicable and with the necessary modifications and except so far as they are inconsistent with this Act or with regulations made thereunder, continue to have effect as part of the law of Western Samoa in all respects as if references therein to the Minister and any officer of the Government of New Zealand were references to the Minister of Transport referred to in this Act and as if references to Acts in force in New Zealand were references to corresponding enactments in force in Western Samoa."
