PARLIAMENTARY SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES
DETERMINATION ORDER 2006
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 2003, I, MALIETOA TANUMAFILI II, O Le Ao o le Malo HEREBY ORDER that the following salaries, allowances and benefits for members of parliament including holders of certain offices be prescribed as follows:

| Deputy Prime Minister Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $120,324 + Telephone Allowance - $12,000 Vehicle + 10 weeks End of term Allowance |
| Ministers of Cabinet Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $112,662 + Telephone Allowance-$12,000 Vehicle + 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Parliamentary Under Secretaries Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $75,353.10 + Telephone Allowance-$3,600 Vehicle-to be used in accordance with Government Policy from time to time. 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Officers of the Legislative Assembly Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $93,840 + Telephone Allowance - $12,000 Vehicle + 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Deputy Speaker Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $80,353 + Telephone Allowance - $3,600 Vehicle + 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Leader of the Opposition Salary and Allowances: Other Benefits: | $87,100 + Telephone Allowance-$3,600 10 weeks End of Term Allowance. |
| Deputy Leader of the Opposition Salary: Other Benefits: | $69,835 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Other Members of Parliament Each other member of Parliament Salary: Other Benefits: | $67,735 10 weeks End of Term Allowance |
| Parliamentary Sitting Allowances: Assembly Sitting Allowances: Members of Parliament - Savaii Member of Parliament - Upolu made up of: $130 $250 $250 | $630.00 each week $500.00 each week inter-island ferry private vehicular passage (Savaii members only). Road transportation. Subsistence & incidentals. |

The salaries and allowances in this Order are effective from 1st day of July 2006.
The Parliamentary Salaries and Allowances Determination Order 2005, SR 2006/5 is revoked.
